Liverpool are reportedly set to launch a £14million bid for Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater, according to the Mirror.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is planning a major overhaul of his squad this summer following an eighth-placed finish in the Premier League and defeat in the Europa League final against Sevilla last Wednesday, and has identified the England international as one of his targets.

The German boss was impressed with the former Manchester United’s man performances in the middle of the park as the Foxes clinched an amazing top flight title this term, and now he wants to bring the 26-year-old to Anfield in the close season.

Drinkwater, who is said to be valued in the £15million bracket, would have to be convinced to turn down the chance to play Champions League football with Leicester though, with no European football on offer if he were to make the move to Liverpool.
