Liverpool are reportedly preparing a stunning £70m swoop for Guinea international star Naby Keita, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League side, who finished fourth in the English top-flight standings last term, one point ahead of Arsenal to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, have been continuously linked with a mega-money move for the highly-rated RasenBallsport Leipzig midfielder this summer.

The 22-year-old, who has 25 international caps for his country, scored eight goals and provided eight assists in 32 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit last season.

Keita, who was the subject of a failed £57m offer from The Reds earlier this transfer window, is understood to be eager to move to Anfield this summer, despite RB Leipzig insisting their prized asset is not for sale.

The report suggests Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is willing to stump up an extra £13m in his attempt to land the Guinea gem, although Serie A outfit Inter Milan are also said to be interested in Keita’s services.
