Liverpool set to make deadline day swoop for Real Madrid winger

Liverpool are reportedly set to make a late swoop to sign Real Madrid winger, Denis Cheryshev, according to news outlet, AS (in Spanish).

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to sign an attacking player before the transfer window closes on Monday night, but has been frustrated in his attempts to bring Shakhtar Donetsk’s Alex Teixeira to Anfield.

Now, according to sources in Spain, the German manager is ready to turn his attentions to Cheryshev, who has been told he can leave the Bernabeu by new Real head coach Zinedine Zidane.

The Russia international has made just two appearances for the club this term, and has previously spent time out on loan at Villarreal and Sevilla.
