Liverpool are set to beat Arsenal and Chelsea to the signing of Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic, as they table a £45million bid, according to the Sun

The Reds are set to beat the London duo to the winger, with both clubs expressing interest in the talented USA international over recent weeks.

Maurizio Sarri and the Chelsea board are thought to have placed a £45million bid for Pulisic, which was rejected by the current Bundesliga leaders.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is still looking to improve his squad despite leading the Premier League .

With the January transfer window opening on Tuesday, the Sun have reported that an extra £5million, taking the total to £50million, will be enough to bring the winger to Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp is still looking to improve his impressive Liverpool squad despite leading the Premier League at the halfway stage.

Pulisic, who has started five league matches this term, will bring extra back-up to the formidable front three of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

However, with Xherdan Shaqiri, Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi it will be difficult for the Merseyside boss to keep all members of his talented frontline happy.

However, at only 20 years of age the Dortmund forward is certainly a prospect and had a very good start to his Bundesliga career before recently being replaced in the team by English startlet Jadon Sancho.
