Liverpool should snap up these 2 Chelsea stars this summer

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool secured a top four finish in the Premier League after beating Middlesbrough 3-0 on the final day of the season.

The Reds knew that victory over Steve Agnew’s side would guarantee at least a Champions League play-off encounter in August, and goals from Georginio Wijnaldum, Philippe Coutinho, and Adam Lallana sealed a comprehensive win for the Merseyside outfit.

They will however have to make-do with a spot in the play-off round as Manchester City thumped Watford 5-0 to finish third, yet Klopp and his Liverpool team won’t mind too much as they will indeed return to Europe’s elite competition next term.

And that means that the Reds boss will seek serious reinforcements this summer in a bid to compete on both the domestic and European stage next term, and may even look at some of their nearest rivals to acquire the sort of talent required to do just that.

And one club they may look to raid is Premier League champions Chelsea, so here are TWO Blues stars Liverpool must try and land this summer…

Michy Batshuayi

With the future of Reds striker Daniel Sturridge far from certain, Klopp may be on the lookout for a forward in the summer.

And one man who the Merseyside outfit have been linked with before could become available, namely Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi.

The Belgian’s career at Stamford Bridge looks set to be coming to an end before it’s really begun after a disappointing first season in West London, which has seen him earn just one Premier League start under Antonio Conte.

And even with the future of forward Diego Costa uncertain, it still doesn’t appear that Batshuayi will become the main man for Conte, so Liverpool should look to give him a fresh start in English football this summer.

Willian

Like Batshuayi, Willian has struggled for regular gametime at Chelsea this term, and has been linked with a move away this summer.

And although Liverpool haven’t been linked with him, Klopp should certainly attempt to land him given the Reds’ European commitments next term, as well as Willian’s insatiable energy and ability to carry out defensive duties.

The Brazil international was Chelsea’s Player of the Year for the 2015/16 campaign having netted 11 goals in 49 games, yet has managed just 15 Premier League starts this season, albeit has bagged eight goals in that time.

Ultimately, Liverpool will need huge squad depth to compete in the league and in Europe next term, and they’d do a lot worse than take a look at Willian this summer.
