Liverpool should snap up these 2 Man United stars this summer

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have the chance to be playing Champions League football next season after finishing fourth in the Premier League.

The Reds beat already-relegated Middlesbrough 3-0 on the final day of the campaign to secure a top four spot ahead of Arsenal, and will thus go into a play-off round to determine whether or not they reach the group stage of the Champions League, or have to play in the Europa League instead.

And that means that Klopp’s men will have to be ready very early on in the season, as the play-offs will take place in August, knowing that the anticipation ahead of your campaign could be dealt a severe blow before things have got underway.

And that also means that the Liverpool boss will have to act fast in the summer transfer window to get the players in and embedded into the side, and he could take a look at some of their nearest rivals in a bid to acquire the talent needed to succeed next season.

Thus, one club they could take a look at is Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United, so here are TWO Red Devils stars Liverpool must try and land this summer…

Daley Blind

With there expected to be several incomings and outgoings at Old Trafford this summer, Dutch international Daley Blind could find himself one of those heading for the exit door.

The 27-year-old moved to United back in 2014, and has made 124 appearances for the Red Devils, including 83 in the Premier League.

However, if you look at Mourinho’s options at present, it’s difficult to see Blind being a first-choice, and that’s before likely summer signings.

Thus, Klopp should consider a move for the versatile defender, as it’s been clear that the Reds have struggled defensively this term, and having an experienced player like Blind could be exactly what they need heading into their domestic and European adventures next term.

Luke Shaw

Midfielder James Milner has been playing at left-back for Liverpool this season, such was the poor form of natural full-back Alberto Moreno, and has performed solidly throughout the campaign.

However, with tougher tests to come both domestically and in Europe, Klopp may look for a left-back this summer, and that should point him to United’s out-of-favour star Luke Shaw.

The 21-year-old has struggled for gametime under Mourinho this term, and has been publicly criticised by his manager on more than one occasion to suggest that things aren’t all that well between the two.

Thus, Shaw could look for a move away this summer, and with Liverpool in need of a natural left-back, Klopp should look to snap him up in the upcoming transfer window.
