Liverpool should snap up these 2 Tottenham stars this summer

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will go into the final round of Premier League fixtures with their top four destinies in their own hands.

The Reds are sitting pretty in fourth place in the table ahead of their clash with Middlesbrough on Sunday, a point clear of Arsenal in fifth ahead of the Gunners’ encounter with Liverpool’s Merseyside rivals Everton on the final day.

It means that victory will certainly secure a Champions League place for Klopp’s men next term, while bettering the Gunners’ result will also seal a return to Europe’s elite competition.

And finishing in the top four would certainly represent a fine first full season in charge for Klopp, even if they did have hopes over the New Year of challenging for the title, yet the task next season will now be to go one better and sustain a title push.

And they could target players from their nearest rivals this summer in a bid to strengthen the squad, and one club they could raid is Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham.

Thus, here are TWO Spurs stars Liverpool must try and land this summer…

Ben Davies

Liverpool have been relying on James Milner to fill in at left-back this season given Alberto Moreno’s woeful start to the campaign, yet Klopp must surely be thinking about bringing in a natural full-back this summer.

And one he could take a look at is Spurs’ Ben Davies, who has done a wonderful job in filling in for the injured Danny Rose over the last few months.

The Wales international was second choice to the excellent Rose for the first half of the campaign but has taken his chance since the England star picked up an injury against Sunderland in January, to the point that Spurs haven’t really missed Rose’s influence in the team.

However, when Rose does indeed return from injury, Davies will once again be on the bench, and his regular first team outings this term may persuade him to seek opportunities elsewhere to remain a first teamer.

And, as a result, Klopp’s Reds should consider a move this summer.

Georges-Kevin N’Koudou

It has been a disastrous debut campaign for Georges-Kevin N’Koudou at Tottenham, and it may well even be his last at the club.

The 22-year-old has failed to make any sort of impact at White Hart Lane, and hasn’t started a Premier League game as a result – in fact, he has only played 49 minutes of league football this term.

However, he clearly has potential, hence Spurs spent £11 million on him last summer, and that’s why Klopp’s Liverpool should give him a Premier League lifeline, as he could well be in need of a fresh start somewhere to fulfil his full potential.

He may not become a regular starter at Liverpool, but with the club in European competition next term, their squad will be stretched, and a player like N’Koudou would help with those demands.
