Liverpool have registered an interest in Frankfurt forward Luka Jovic, according to LFC Globe.
The 20-year-old has made a sensational start to the season, scoring 10 goals in 14 appearances which included five in a 7-1 win against Dusseldorf.
However, the Bundesliga side only have the starlet on a two-year loan deal after which he will go back to his parent club, Benfica.
And it’s reported that the Portuguese giants could be willing to sell the striker once he returns to Estádio da Luz next summer.
Liverpool are thought to be very interested in signing the £20million attacker who has the potential to have an impact both now and in the future.
However, with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi and Dominic Solanke all currently in the forward ranks, the Reds are willing to wait until the end of the current campaign to try land the Serbian.
The exciting youngster, who has only played four times for Benfica’s first-team since signing for the Primeira Liga outfit in 2016, is currently the joint top scorer in the German top-flight with seven strikes to his name.
Jovic also has two international caps with one of them coming against Brazil in the 2018 World Cup where his country exited the competition at the group stage.
