Liverpool continue their Champions League campaign when they host Italian side Bologna on Wednesday evening.

Arne Slot’s side have enjoyed a fantastic start to the new campaign, winning seven of their eight games across all competitions so far.

The Reds cruised to a 3-1 win over AC Milan in their opening game of the European campaign, and Slot will be hoping to see his side make it two wins from two on Wednesday.

In the meantime, Liverpool appear to have been handed a boost in their pursuit of an England international.

According to Football Insider, Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze is open to the idea of leaving Selhurst Park next summer.

Eze is open to the idea of leaving Crystal Palace next year

The winger has been one of the Eagles’ most impressive performers over the past couple of seasons, and his impressive form attracted interest from both Liverpool and Tottenham over the summer.

Eze, 26, had a £68 million release clause in his contract, but it expired over the summer without being activated despite significant interest from a number of clubs.

The Englishman joined Palace from Championship side Queens Park Rangers back in 2020 and has since played more than 130 times for the South London side.

He has scored 29 times and provided 18 assists in that time, netting just once in the league so far this season amid Oliver Glasner’s side’s disastrous start to the new campaign.

The report suggests that Eze is open to the idea of pursuing a new challenge next year after seeing former teammate Michael Olise impressed since joining German giants Bayern Munich over the summer.

Eze’s current deal with the Eagles is set to expire at the end of the 2026/27 campaign, but it appears that he could in fact leave the club next year.
