Liverpool target Ousmane Dembele will be allowed to leave Barcelona, according to RAC1.
The 21-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular starting place since his mega £96.8m – potentially rising to £135.5m – switch from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2017.
After a debut season struck with injury and inconsistency it was speculated that the France international could make a loan move to Anfield over the summer.
That didn’t happen but, despite improved performances for the Catalan club, it’s believed the attacker is free to leave the Camp Nou as early as January.
A player with quick feet and explosive pace, the forward has all the attributes to fit into Jurgen Klopp’s high-pressing squad.
Sadio Mane and Mo Salah have the starting wide spots nailed down, but the addition of the former Rennes star would provide top-level cover.
Dembele, who has part of Les Bleus’ World Cup winning squad, has scored nine times in 35 matches for the La Liga champions.
