Liverpool defeated Premier League rivals Sunderland 4-2 in their first pre-season friendly of the summer in Nashville on Saturday.
Kieran Morrison, Dominik Szoboszlai, Federico Chiesa and Lewis Koumas were all on target for the Reds, who face Championship side Wrexham in their next friendly.
New manager Andoni Iraola will hope to see his side impress once again when they face Wrexham, before other friendly fixtures against Leeds United, Monaco and Como.
The Reds will then visit Newcastle United in their first game of the new Premier League campaign, but in the meantime it is emerging that the Merseyside outfit are keen to sign a superstar from the French top flight.
As reported by Ben Jacobs, Liverpool have held preliminary talks about a deal for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.

The report claims that the Reds have identified the Frenchman as one of their top targets for this summer’s transfer window, and they are expected to begin talks with PSG in the near future.
The Champions League holders, however, are said to be demanding a fee of around £145 million for Barcola, who was valued at just £72.5 million when Liverpool first showed interest 12 months ago.
Barcola, 23, has scored 39 goals and provided 37 assists in 152 games for PSG in all competitions since joining from fellow French side Lyon in 2023.
Despite PSG’s staggering valuation of the winger, Jacobs claims that Liverpool are hoping to agree a much lower fee for the player, who is keen to depart the French capital.
Barcola’s desire to leave – coupled with the fact that he has less than two years remaining on his current contract – could pressure the French champions into selling for a lower price this summer.
