Liverpool are reportedly prepared to hijack West Ham United’s move for loan star Manuel Lanzini.

The Premier League outfit, who lost under new boss Jurgen Klopp for the first time against Crystal Palace during the previous round of fixtures earlier this momth, are exploring the possibility of trying to sign the Hammers ace on a permanent deal.

The 22-year-old, who arrived at Upton Park on a season-long loan deal from Al-Jazira back in July, has scored five goals in 14 appearances in all competitions so far this season, including a strike at Anfield during West Ham’s 3-0 victory back in August.

The Argentina attacking midfielder’s agreement to join the Hammers included an option for the club to buy Lanzini permanently next summer, but it is now understood that the Reds have also entered the race.
