Liverpool continue their Champions League campaign with a trip to Germany to face RB Leipzig on Wednesday night.
The Reds have won their opening two matches of the group phase – against Italian sides AC Milan and Bologna – and manager Arne Slot will be hopeful that his side can make it nine points from a possible nine by beating Leipzig on Wednesday.
Liverpool arrive in Germany off the back of a 2-1 win over Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday, a result that kept them top of the Premier League table.
While things are going very well on the pitch for the Reds, off the pitch the club are trying to tie three of their stars down to new contracts.
Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah are all currently in the final year of their contracts, and CaughtOffside claims that Alexander-Arnold is set to be offered a lucrative new deal.
The report claims that Liverpool are set to offer the right-back a new deal wroth a staggering £14-15 million-per-year, which will run until the 2029/30 campaign.
Alexander-Arnold, 26, has been heavily linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid and it appears that their apparent interest has prompted Liverpool to try to agree a new deal.

The right-back has played 320 times for the Reds since graduating through the club’s youth academy, establishing himself as one of the best right-sided full-backs in Europe.
Despite his importance to Slot’s side, the report also claims that Liverpool have identified three possible targets in case Alexander-Arnold does depart.
Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong, Monaco’s Vanderson, and Fiorentina’s Michael Kayode are named as the three potential transfer targets that the Merseyside club have identified.
As he is in the final year of his current deal, Alexander-Arnold would be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with any foreign side, including Real, in January.
He would also be able to depart Anfield as a free agent at the end of the current campaign, and Liverpool have therefore decided to plan for his possible departure.
