Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard could reportedly hang up his boots after making what may be his final appearance for Los Angeles Galaxy, according to The Guardian.
The 36-year-old, who left Anfield for Major League Soccer come the end of the 2014/15 Premier League season, is set to consider retirement after LA Galaxy were knocked out of the MLS play-offs on Sunday.
Gerrard, who made 710 appearances for The Reds between 1998 and 2015, scoring 180 goals and providing 100 assists, is out of contract as of next month with the American outfit.

The former England international, who won 114 caps for the Three Lions, watched the Colorado Rapids take the Western Conference semi-final clash into extra-time after winning the second-leg 1-0, a carbon copy of Galaxy’s first-leg win.
Gerrard climbed off the substitutes bench with 14 minutes remaining, however he couldn’t inspire his team-mates to victory, despite slotting home the opening spot-kick in the penalty shootout, where they eventually lost 4-1.
However the report suggests the midfielder’s forthcoming retirement could bode well for his adoring fans back at Anfield, as a return to Liverpool could be on the cards by becoming part of manager Jurgen Klopp’s backroom staff.
