Lovren looked a lot more solid than he has in the past for Liverpool at Newcastle
Liverpool were defeated for just the second time in 11 games under manager Jurgen Klopp as they were beaten 2-0 by Newcastle.
In a below-par performance from the in-form Reds, it was hard to pick a standout player with so many off their game.
But we feel that Dejan Lovren, who wasn’t helped by the uncharacteristically shaky Martin Skrtel, gave one of his better performances for the club, looking solid at the back and a threat in the Magpies’ box.
