The futures of many at Arsenal have been up for debate over the past weeks and months, however, one who seems to have fallen by the wayside is that of striker Lucas Perez.
The Spaniard, who is currently rated at around £14m, arrived in north London last summer, however, has never really been given a run in the team by manager Arsene Wenger, and could be set to quit the club after just a year in English football, according to reports from La Voz de Galicia.
As per the report, the striker is unhappy with his playtime at Arsenal and is ready to move back to his former club, Deportivo La Coruna, should Wenger stay on as manager.
It seems, then, that his future has been decided with John Cross of The Mirror, who is perhaps closer to Arsenal than any other journalist in the English media, claiming that the Frenchman is ‘almost certain’ to put pen to paper on a two-year extension at The Emirates, in order to oversee a big-money overhaul.
Perez has made just ten starts in a Gunners shirt this season, scoring seven goals in all competitions.
