Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has rubbished rumours that the club could sign Brazilian superstar Neymar.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward is reportedly available this summer, and recent reports have suggested that City are one of the clubs that the player has been offered to.

Now, though, Guardiola has ended speculation linking his side with a move for the forward.

“I’m sorry but it’s not true,” Guardiola said, as reported by Martin Blackburn.

Neymar’s future remains uncertain

“Their information is not right, Neymar is an incredible player and the info I have he’s an incredibly nice guy. But it’s not right.

“Every summer Manchester city are going to buy 150 players.”

City have already signed Erling Haaland and Kalvin Phillips this summer, while Julian Alvarez has joined up with his new teammates having spent the last six months on loan at previous club River Plate.

The Premier League champions are also expected to sign Brighton and Hove Albion full-back Marc Cucurella, but have already sold Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus.
