Tottenham Hotspur face high flying Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Monday night.

The Lilywhites have endured a dismal domestic campaign so far and currently sit 16th in the top flight standings, although they have reached the semi-finals of the Europa League where they face Bodo/Glimt.

Ange Postecoglou is under increasing pressure to win the competition, which represents his side’s only remaining route to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

In the meantime, it has emerged that Spurs are one of a number of Premier League sides interested in a Denmark international.

According to CaughtOffside, Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United are all interested in Sporting CP midfielder Marten Hjulmand.

The 25-year-old joined Sporting from Italian side Lecce in 2023 and has since played more than 90 times for his current club across all competitions.

Hjulmand has attracted interest from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs

Hjulmand, a defensive midfielder, has impressed for Sporting and the report claims that all three Premier League sides mentioned have an interest in signing him this summer.

The Dane has a release clause of around £68 million in his current contract, but the report suggests that interested clubs will likely want to attempt to agree a lower fee for the player.

Spurs are hoping to bolster Postecoglou’s squad in midfield this summer, while Arsenal could have to contend with the potential departures of both Jorginho and Thomas Partey this summer and would therefore need to source at least one replacement.

Man United boss Ruben Amorim managed Hjulmand during his time in the Portuguese capital, and the Red Devils are also said to be interested in the player amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding the future of Casemiro at Old Trafford.

Hjulmand’s current contract with Sporting is set to run until the summer of 2028.
