Manchester United face Bournemouth in their second game of the Premier League Summer Series in Chicago on Thursday morning.

The Red Devils defeated West Ham United 2-1 in their first match of the pre-season tournament, and Ruben Amorim will hope to see his side build on that victory with the new season fast approaching.

Bryan Mbeumo could make his first appearance for United against the Cherries, having joined from Brentford earlier this month.

United have signed both Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha so far this summer, but it has now emerged that the Manchester club are still on the hunt for further attacking reinforcements.

According to CaughtOffside, Manchester United are battling it out with Spanish champions Barcelona for the signature of Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson.

It is claimed that Barcelona porting director, Deco, is expected to initiate talks with his former club over a possible season-long loan deal for Jackson, with an option-to-buy clause included.

United are also interested in the Senegal international, the report claims, with the Red Devils having stepped up their scouting of the forward.

Jackson, 24, is also said to have been offered to Arsenal before they signed Viktor Gyokeres, while Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Napoli and Juventus are all also created with an interest.

The Senegalese striker joined the Blues from Spanish side Villarreal in 2023 and has since scored 30 goals in 81 games for the West London club across all competitions.

His playing time could be hindered this season, though, following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap since the end of last term.

It is claimed that Chelsea are willing to allow Jackson to depart Stamford Bridge for a fee of around £43 million, however several interested clubs believe that valuation is too high.
