Manchester United will hope to return to winning ways when they face Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils were beaten 1-0 by Wolves at Old Trafford on Sunday, a result that left Ruben Amorim’s side 14th in the Premier League table with just five games remaining.

United are therefore set to miss out on qualification for any form of European competition next term, unless they can win the Europa League in May and book their place in next season’s Champions League.

This summer will be an interesting one at Old Trafford, with Amorim likely to want to tinker with his squad during his first summer transfer window in charge.

With that in mind, though, it has emerged that one of the club’s biggest stars may have no future at United.

According to TBR Football, Amorim is unlikely to want Marcus Rashford to return to his squad at the end of the current campaign.

Rashford’s future remains very uncertain

Rashford, 27, joined Aston Villa on loan in January after falling out of favour following Amorim’s arrival at Old Trafford.

The Englishman has since impressed for Unai Emery’s side, registering a combined ten goals and assists in 17 games, but his future remains very uncertain as he approaches the expiry of his loan spell.

The report claims that Villa would potentially be interested in agreeing a permanent deal for the forward, however his wages would likely be an issue.

Rashford may therefore leave Villa Park when his loan expires, but it is also claimed that Amorim – who wanted the player to leave in January – is unlikely to have changed his mind on the situation.

The player is said to be keeping his options open, with his representatives already exploring possible moves ahead of this summer’s window.

Rashford has played more than 420 times for United across all competitions, scoring 138 goals and providing 77 assists.
