Manchester United will hope to return to winning ways when they host Newcastle United on Monday night.

The Red Devils have won just one of their last five Premier League games, most recently being beaten 2-0 by struggling Wolves at Molineux.

New head coach Ruben Amorim will therefore be desperate to see his side pick up all three points on Monday, but the Magpies arrive at Old Trafford in fine form and will undoubtedly provide a stern test for the Red Devils.

In the meantime, with the January transfer window fast approaching, it appears that United are eyeing a surprise move for a Ligue 1 star.

As per Football Insider, the Manchester club could agree a shock deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani next month.

The report claims that the French champions are ready to sell the striker and could allow him too leave when the window reopens next month.

Kolo Muani has played 27 times for France, scoring eight goals

Kolo Muani, 26, joined PSG from German side Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023 – for a fee in excess of £75 million – and has since scored 11 goals in 54 games for the club across all competitions, as well as registering seven assists.

It is claimed, though, that the France international could be sold next month with several Premier League sides interested in the forward.

German outfit RB Leipzig are also credited with an interest in the Frenchman, who has scored seven goals in 28 games at international level.

United are on the hunt for attacking reinforcements with Marcus Rashford looking increasingly likely to depart the club, having been dropped from Amorim’s squad for recent games.

Kolo Muani is contracted to PSG until the end of the 2027/28 campaign.
