Man United, Man City and Chelsea in three-way battle for 15-goal star striker

Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are reportedly set to battle it out for the signature of France Under-21 international Moussa Dembele, according to the Express.

The Premier League trio, who all sit eighth, first and fifth in the English top-flight standings respectively so far this term, with The Blues facing Southampton on Sunday afternoon, are understood to have been impressed with the striker’s goalscoring exploits at Celtic since his summer move.

The 20-year-old, who has scored twice in two international games for France’s Under-21 side, has netted an impressive 15 goals in 22 appearances in all competitions for the Scottish Premiership leaders so far this season.

Dembele, who is reportedly valued at £40m, only joined Brendan Rodgers’ side from Championship outfit Fulham on a four-year deal back in June.

However, the Premier League trio are joined by a European giant in the race to sign Dembele ahead of the forthcoming January transfer window, with Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid tipped to also be interested in the forward’s services.
