Man United should snap up these 2 Man City stars this summer

Manchester United finished off an underwhelming Premier League campaign with a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace this afternoon.

Jose Mourinho made several changes to his side in preparation for their side’s Europa League final against Ajax on Wednesday night, yet first half goals from Josh Harrop and Paul Pogba sealed a comfortable afternoon for the Red Devils.

And now their attentions will turn to Wednesday’s showpiece in Stockholm, where victory would secure Mourinho’s men a place in next season’s Champions League, and that will undoubtedly be crucial in their bid to land some of the world’s best players this summer.

And it’s investment that Mourinho’s side will certainly need given that they finished 24 points behind champions Chelsea, and they may even look to some of their nearest rivals in a bid to acquire the top talent needed to compete on the domestic and European stage.

And one club they could look to raid is neighbours Manchester City, so here are TWO Citizens stars United must try and land this summer…

Yaya Toure

Yaya Toure is one of a handful of Man City players out of contract this summer, and as of yet hasn’t agreed an extension to his deal.

And that means that the 34-year-old Ivorian, winner of two Premier League titles at the Etihad Stadium and scorer of 62 goals in the top-flight, will be available for a free this summer.

And it’s the sort of deal Mourinho’s United should try and get done, as they themselves need greater steel in the midfield for challenge for the title next term.

The Red Devils were loosely linked with Toure earlier in the campaign, and with it no clearer whether he’ll sign a new deal at City, United must try and land the midfielder this summer.

Sergio Aguero

It might feel like Sergio Aguero has had a tricky season at City, given the arrival of Gabriel Jesus and the exclusion from the team in certain high-profile clashes, yet it will go down as his best goal-scoring seasons in England.

The 28-year-old has bagged 33 goals in just 44 games for Guardiola’s side this term, yet speculation has been building throughout the campaign about his future under the Spaniard, given Guardiola’s preference to get more out of his strikers.

And, as a result, Aguero may well be available this summer, which must tempt Mourinho to consider a move for the Argentine in the transfer window.

Star man Zlatan Ibrahimovic looks set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, and given their over reliance on him this term, they will quite simply need another forward of his calibre next season to challenge near the top.

And that man could be Aguero, and with United already loosely linked with the forward, Mourinho must try and snap him up this summer.
