Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has edged closer to the exit door at Old Trafford after holding talks with former club Juventus over a possible return to the club.

The Frenchman joined United from the Serie A club in 2016, but is expected to depart United when his contract expires this summer.

As per Football Transfers, the midfielder has been in discussion with the Italian club, while French champions Paris Saint-Germain have also shown an interest in the 29-year-old.

The France international is believed to prefer a move to Juventus and, while PSG have offered a similar deal in terms of wages, Pogba will be heading back to Turin.

Juventus’ offer reportedly includes a base salary of around £200,000-per-week, with lucrative bonuses and clauses included.

Pogba’s time at Old Trafford is coming to an end

Reports in recent days have linked United’s rivals Manchester City with a sensational move for the midfielder, however it appears that the player has his heart set on a return to the club with which he had tremendous success between 2012 and 2016.

During his four-year stay in Italy, Pogba won eight trophies including four Serie A titles.

Pogba has been heavily linked with a move away from United for much of his second spell with the club.

The midfielder has reportedly been unhappy and has been linked with clubs in Spain, France and Italy.

Now, though, his time at the club is coming to an end and, having missed United’s last four games with a calf injury, the Frenchman looks to have played his final game for the club.
