Man United Team News: Predicted line-up vs Burnley in the Premier League

Solskjaer has been praised for his work in the transfer market so far.

Manchester United’s up-and-down form looks set to continue, as they play their last game of 2019 against Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday.

Yesterday the Red Devils found a good performance and an all-important three points overcoming Newcastle United in a 4-1 victory.

This was vitally important for the club, following their miserable 2-0 defeat to Watford just last weekend.

Going into Saturday’s North West clash, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be desperate to notch another victory, but will no doubt have one eye on the game away at Arsenal on New Year’s Day.

What team will Ole Pick…?

GK: David de Gea

David de Gea retained his place against Newcastle, despite a huge clanger at Watford in their previous game, resulting in the opening goal.

RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Despite his excellent form since joining United, one of the criticisms the right back has faced, is his ability to attack. That was well and truly put to be yesterday, with a scintillating performance against the Magpies.

CB: Victor Lindelof

Lindelof has been selected for all the big games and despite the hectic schedule, Turf Moor is a tough place to go and we would expect to see United’s strongest defence available.

CB: Harry Maguire

Just like his centre back partner, Maguire will surely be a certainty for this clash. He’ll need to use all his arial prowess against the likes of Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes.

LB: Luke Shaw

Despite the surge of youngster Brandon Williams we expect Luke Shaw to hold his place after a solid performance against Newcastle yesterday.

DM: Fred

With Scott McTominay likely to miss the match at Turf Moor, we would expect to see the Brazilian hold his place in the midfield. Without doubt he is playing his best and most consistent football in a Manchester United shirt.

CM: Paul Pogba

After missing most of the season with an ankle problem, Pogba is likely to start this game in the absence of McTominay. The World Cup winner has made a few substitute appearances this month and looks very sharp and ready for more minutes.

AM: Juan Mata

The Spaniard has been a bit-part player this term but squad rotation is very important at this time of year and we feel he could get the nod on Saturday night.

FW: Daniel James

Mason Greenwood was preferred to James following his below par performance away at Watford last weekend. However, after a deserved rest, we expect James to come back into the fold, two games in three days maybe too much for young Greenwood.

FW: Anthony Martial

Two goals and another solid performance form Martial should be enough to see his place retained. At this stage in the season, Ole can simply not afford for too much squad rotation.

ST: Marcus Rashford

Echo are thoughts on Martial and place here for Rashford. The on-form England international is just too important to rotate with another three points vitally important for Manchester United.
