Manchester United host fierce rivals Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday.

With both sides enjoying decent starts to the season this derby is being billed as an important match in the race for the Premier League title.

And with two squads full of international superstars, both sets of supporters and the neutrals will be expecting an entertaining spectacle.

But who would currently get in the starting line-up if the two teams were to come together?

We’ve picked our Manchester United and City combined XI based on the players’ form and fitness.

Goalkeeper: David De Gea (Manchester United)

Probably the toughest choice. Joe Hart is undoubtedly this country’s best goalkeeper and one of the best around. However, since his move to Real Madrid broke down, David De Gea has proved once again what a world-class stopper he is. He’s only kept two clean sheets to Hart’s five so far this term, but the Spaniard has played three less matches and makes more saves per game.
