Henrikh Mkhitaryan insists “nothing will prevent me from achieving my dream”, despite a disappointing start to his Manchester United career this season.

The 27-year-old, who has 60 international caps for Armenia, has failed to score or provide an assist in six appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils so far this term.

Mkhitaryan, who arrived at Old Trafford from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund back in July 2016 following his reported £26m switch, is out of favour under Jose Mourinho, with recent speculation linking the midfielder with a move away from the Premier League side during the upcoming January transfer window.

But despite playing just 104 minutes of top-flight football for United so far this campaign, the Armenian ace is determined to fight for his place and prove his worth at The Theatre of Dreams.

He said, via the Daily Mail, “It is true that I get little time on the field, but I am not going to give in.

“I went a long way to play in Manchester United, so nothing will prevent me from achieving my dream.”
