Manchester United are reportedly closely looking at AFC Bournemouth ace Matt Ritchie.

The 13-time Premier League champions, who currently sit two points behind joint-leaders Manchester City and Arsenal in the standings, are said to be considering a £10m bid for the Scotland international in the forthcoming January transfer window.

The 26-year-old, who joined the Cherries from Swindon Town back in January 2013, has scored twice in 12 English top-flight appearances for Bournemouth so far this season.

Ritchie, who also boasts six international caps, has been Eddie Howe’s side’s most consistent and outstanding performer during their debut campaign in the Premier League this term, especially with the absence of star striker Callum Wilson through injury.

However manager Howe said today, “Matt Ritchie on form and playing well is a threat to anybody.

“Whenever any of our players gets linked, it’s not welcome by us.

“We’re not a selling club and we certainly want to keep the squad together if we can in January and not the other way.”
