Manchester United are reportedly willing to pay Poland’s star striker Robert Lewandowski up to £10.9m-a-year to join the 13-time Premier League champions next month.

The Red Devils, who currently sit fourth in the standings following their shock 2-1 defeat at newly promoted AFC Bournemouth last weekend, are prepared to offer the FC Bayern Munich ace an eye-watering pay packet to lure him to Old Trafford during the forthcoming January transfer window.

The 27-year-old, who has 73 international caps for his country, has scored an outstanding 23 goals in 25 games in all appearances for the Bundesliga champions so far this season.

Lewandowski has been a long-term admirer of United’s since Sir Alex Ferguson’s era, although it is also understood Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are also ready to test Munich’s resolve over their prized asset in the New Year.
