Manchester City are reportedly in pole position to land Croatia starlet Ante Coric this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League giants, who pipped arch rivals Manchester United to fourth spot in the English top-flight standings last term and earned subsequent qualification for the UEFA Champions League, are interested in luring the highly-rated Dinamo Zagreb attacking midfielder to the Etihad Stadium ahead of the upcoming 2016/17 campaign.

The 19-year-old, who already has two senior international caps for his country and is currently with Croatia in France to contest at the 2016 European Championship finals, scored five goals and provided six assists in 41 appearances in all competitions last season.

Coric, who is also attracting interest from Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham, is valued at around £10m by the Croatian side.

However, the report suggests that the Citizens are ready to offer around £6m for the midfielder, who has rapidly risen through his countries national ranks.
