Mangala has found the Premier League tough going.
Although unlikely in January, if any of City’s big-name players are to leave the Etihad it will be Eliaquim Mangala.
Other than an impressive debut and a good start to the campaign, alongside captain Vincent Kompany, the France international has looked nowhere near worth the £32m City paid FC Porto for his services in the summer of 2014.
Another poor display in the League Cup semi-final against Everton, which saw Manuel Pellegrini sub him at half time, has thrown the 24-year-old’s future into doubt.
But despite his failure to adapt to the Premier League, a host of Spanish and Italian sides are understood to be tracking his situation.
