Manchester City are reportedly closing in on the signing of France international defender Benjamin Mendy, according to the Mirror.
The Premier League side, who finished third in the English top-flight standings, 15 points behind eventual champions Chelsea, have been continually linked with a move for the AS Monaco full-back this summer.
The 22-year-old, who has four international caps for his country, scored one goal and provided 11 assists in 39 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 champions last season.
Mendy, who only joined Monaco from French rivals Marseille last summer on a five-year deal, is valued at around £50m.
City are hopeful of completing a similar deal for England international right-back Kyle Walker on Friday for a similar fee from Tottenham Hotspur, and hope to be able to jet them both out to the USA on Monday for their three-game pre-season tour.
Pep Guardiola’s side have already signed winger Bernardo Silva from Monaco for an undisclosed fee earlier this summer.
