Argentina international ace Sergio Aguero has dismissed talks of a potential transfer to Real Madrid, according to ESPN Radio FC (via The Sun).

The 28-year-old, who has 79 international caps for his country, has already scored an impressive 14 goals and provided one assist in 15 appearances in all competitions for Manchester City so far this season.

Aguero, who joined the Premier League side from La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid back in July 2011 following his reported £38m move, has been linked with Madrid following his prolific start to the 2016/17 campaign.

However, City’s star striker has rubbished claims of a switch to the Bernabeu, saying he will only leave the Etihad Stadium for boyhood club Independiente back in his homeland.

Aguero told ESPN Radio FC, “I never had problems with Guardiola, nor him with me. He always helped me and gave me advice.

“For now I’m fine at Manchester City, and the day I leave it will be to return to Independiente.

“How long have there been rumours about Real Madrid?”
