Manchester United have been given fresh hope in their bid to sign Croatia international forward Ivan Perisic, according to Sky Italia.
The Premier League side, who lifted the EFL Cup and UEFA Europa League last term, have been linked with luring the Inter Milan winger to Old Trafford this summer.
The 28-year-old, who has 57 international caps for his country, scored 11 goals and provided 12 assists in 42 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit last season.
Perisic, who arrived at the San Siro back in August 2015 following his move from German club Wolfsburg, has netted 20 times in 79 games overall for Inter, but has not won any silverware with the Italian outfit.
The winger was earmarked as one of Jose Mourinho’s top transfer targets this summer, but The Red Devils manager was seemingly put off his £48m valuation.
However, the report now suggests Perisic is back on United’s radar as Inter look to sign Fiorentina’s Borja Valero as the Croatian’s replacement.
