Manchester United agree £8m double deal for defenders

Sunderland have reportedly agreed a fee of £8m for defenders Paddy McNair and Donald Love, according to Sky sources.
The Premier League side, who lost boss Sam Allardyce to England this summer before appointing David Moyes as his managerial replacement, are set to lure the Manchester United duo to Stadium of Light ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.

Centre-half McNair; 21, who has 11 international caps for Northern Ireland and featured for his country at this summer’s Euro 2016 in France, made nine first-team appearances for the Red Devils last season.
Whilst right-back Love; also 21, is a Scotland Under-21 international and made his United debut under former boss Louis van Gaal against Sunderland back in February 2016.
The report suggests that ex-Red Devils boss and new Black Cats manager, Moyes, wants the defensive duo as part of his “building job” at Sunderland – agreeing an initial £5m for McNair, which could rise to £7m, whilst Love will cost them around £1m.
Both defenders are due medicals at Sunderland on Wednesday.
