Manchester United have reportedly agreed to sell Belgium international star Marouane Fellaini to Besiktas, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League side, who were defeated 1-0 by defending league champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend, have been linked with offloading the central midfielder during the forthcoming January transfer window.

The 29-year-old, who has 76 international caps for his country, has scored four goals and provided one assist in nine appearances in all competitions for The Red Devils so far this season.

Fellaini, who arrived at Old Trafford back in September 2013 following his reported £27.5m switch from Premier League rivals Everton, has netted 19 times in almost 150 games overall for United, winning the FA Cup, the League Cup, the UEFA Europa League and an FA Community Shield.

However, the report suggests the Belgian midfielder will be the first player shown the door during the New Year market by Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho, having been told he has to sell before he can add to his squad during the upcoming transfer window.

With Fellaini’s current deal at The Theatre of Dreams set to expire in June 2018, United have agreed a cut-price £8m deal with Turkish outfit Besiktas for his services.
