Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly considering summer swoops for Uruguay international striker Edinson Cavani, according to the Express.

The Premier League giants, who currently sit fifth and ninth in the English top-flight standings after both sides respectively drew in their last league outings against Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur, have been continually linked with the Paris Saint-Germain striker once the 2015/16 campaign concludes.

The 29-year-old; who has 80 international caps for his country, has scored 21 goals in all competitions for the runaway Ligue 1 champions so far this season, including seven assists.

Cavani, who has lifted three straight French league titles with Laurent Blanc’s men, is reportedly keen on leaving the Parc des Princes this summer.

The report suggests that the forward’s future at PSG would become clearer today (Thursday) after negotiations with his representatives over his future at the club.

Cavani has netted an impressive 77 goals in 145 games for the French giants since joining from Napoli back in 2013.
