Manchester United and Manchester City could go head-to-head in a bid to sign Brazil international superstar Neymar, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Premier League rivals, who currently sit second and first in the English top-flight standings this term, have been linked with an audacious swoop for the Paris Saint-Germain striker, should he decide to leave the French capital.

The 26-year-old, who has 83 international caps for his country, has scored 29 goals and provided 19 assists in 30 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 leaders so far this season.

Neymar, who arrived at the Parc des Princes back in August 2017 following his whopping world record £200m transfer from FC Barcelona, is currently sidelined with injury after suffering a broken metatarsal last month against Marseille.

However, his future at PSG has been plunged into doubt with the Samba star reportedly unhappy with life in France and he regrets leaving La Liga giants Barcelona last summer.

Should Neymar wish to leave PSG, the report claims Premier League rivals United and City will both try to sign the left winger, who is valued at £162m, according to transfermarkt.

Real Madrid have also been tipped to make a mega money move for Neymar.
