Manchester United are reportedly the clear favourites to sign Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The 34-year-old announced on Friday that he would be leaving the Ligue 1 champions at the end of his contract this summer, and it seems the Sweden international is keen for a crack at the Premier League, having previous played in Serie A, La Liga, the Eredivisie and now in France.

The attacker believes he can meet the physical demands expected in England’s top flight, but any potential transfer could depend on the managerial situation at Old Trafford come the end of the campaign, with Louis van Gaal’s future still up in the air.

Ibrahimovic enjoyed a strong relationship with Jose Mourinho, who has been linked with the manager’s job at United, during the duo’s time with Inter Milan, and a deal could be strengthened if the former Chelsea boss was to be appointed at the Theatre of Dreams.
