Manchester United, Chelsea & West Ham must pay £67m to sign Real Madrid star

05 May 2015 - Uefa Champions League - Juventus v Real Madrid - Stefano Sturaro of Juventus challenges James Rodriguez of Madrid.

Manchester United, Chelsea and West Ham United have reportedly been told that they must pay £67 million if they want to sign Real Madrid attacking midfielder James Rodriguez, according to Marca.

The Colombia international is understood to be keen to leave the Bernabeu this summer after falling down the pecking order with the Spanish giants, but it is now up to interested parties to meet the 25-year-old’s €80 million – which equates to around £67 million – price tag.

The aforementioned Premier League trio are all said to be considering bids for the forward, along with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, but it remains to be seen whether any will fork out the huge asking price.

Rodriguez, who was said to be unhappy that he didn’t feature for a single minute in Real’s Champions League victory against city rivals Atletico back in May, has made 78 appearances in all competitions for the club since joining from Monaco in 2014, scoring 25 goals.
