Manchester United have completed the £26.3 million signing of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan on a four-year deal.
Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho, who recently stated that the United board have agreed on four transfer targets this summer, captured the Armenia captain on Wednesday.
He becomes the Portuguese’s third signing after defender Eric Bailly joined from Villarreal for £30 million, and star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic moved from Paris Saint-Germain on a free respectively.
Speaking about his move to Old Trafford, Mkhitaryan said: “I am very proud to join Manchester United, this move is a dream come true for me.”
The Armenian midfielder scored 11 goals and assisted 15 times for Borussia Dortmund last season, who finished 10 points behind Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich.
The fourth target for Mourinho is rumoured to be in the centre of midfield, with Blaise Matuidi of Paris Saint Germain and Paul Pogba, a former graduate of Manchester United, both heavily linked with the club in recent weeks.
