Manchester United welcome relegation-threatened Ipswich Town to Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils were held to a 2-2 draw by the Tractor Boys at Portman Road in Ruben Amorim’s first match in charge in November, and the Portuguese will be desperate to see his side go one better this time around.

Last time out United came from behind to draw 2-2 against Everton at Goodison Park, but Amorim’s side still sit 15th in the Premier League table.

Those in charge of the club’s recruitment will likely want to bolster Amorim’s squad this summer, but it appears that the Manchester side could miss out on two key targets.

According to Ben Jacobs via GiveMeSport, the Red Devils could miss out on both Benjamin Sesko and Liam Delap, with Premier League rivals optimistic about signing the pair.

The report claims that United hold an interest in both strikers, however two of their fiercest Premier League rivals are confident about their chances of signing the duo.

Ipswich Town striker Delap is enjoying a fine debut season in East Anglia, having joined the Tractor Boys from Manchester City last summer.

Delap has attracted interest from several clubs including Manchester United and Chelsea

The Englishman has scored ten goals in the Premier League so far this term, but Jacobs claims that Chelsea are frontrunners to land the 22-year-old this summer, regardless of whether or not Kieran McKenna’s side are relegated from the top flight.

Sesko, meanwhile, has scored 16 times in 32 matches for German side RB Leipzig so far this season.

His impressive form has attracted interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, but the report claims that Arsenal are confident about their chances of signing the Slovenia international.

Chelsea are also said to have been monitoring Sesko, 21, while the Gunners have been focussing on a move for the Slovenian having been made aware that Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak is unlikely to be available.
