Manchester United defender Paddy McNair is reportedly a target for Celtic and Burnley, according to the Daily Record.
The youngster has been told by Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho that he is free to leave Old Trafford on a loan deal for the upcoming season after making just nine appearances for the club in all competitions last term, and that has alerted a number of teams, including the Scottish Premiership holders and the Premier League new-boys.
New Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has already stated that he wants four more signings this summer following the arrivals of Kolo Toure and Moussa Dembele, and has registered his interest in the Northern Ireland international.
However, Clarets chief Sean Dyche is also a known admirer of McNair, who prefers to play in midfield despite often being deployed in a defensive role in his 27 first-team appearances for United, and came close to bringing the 21-year-old to Turf Moor in January.
