Manchester United have added Leicester City midfielder Wilfried Ndidi to transfer shortlist if priority target unavailable, according to the Express

The Nigerian box-to-box midfielder has been a real powerhouse in the middle for the Foxes and has improved even more so, since the departure of N’Golo Kante.

However, reports suggest United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would still prefer to sign Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek, who Real Madrid are also keen to sign.

Ajax’s Donny van de Beek is Solskjaer’s number one choice.

Knowing that the capture of de Beek is by no means a done deal, the Express have reported that Solkjaer has added Ndidi to his transfer shortlist and he tries to improve his midfield.

Of course there is still much speculation around the potential sale of Paul Pogba from United, which would leave a giant hole in the Red Devils’ midfield.

On top of the possible sale of Pogba, Brazilian midfielder Andreas Pereira is also expected to leave on a free to free up some cash and spaces in the midfield area for a new signing to fill.
