Manchester United have reportedly made a British transfer record bid of £60m for France international ace Paul Pogba, according to The Sun.

The 13-time Premier League champions, who defeated Crystal Palace in the 2016 FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium, but could only finish fifth in the English top-flight standings this term, want to try and lure the Juventus midfielder back to Old Trafford this summer.

The 23-year-old, who has 30 international caps for his country and is included in France’s 23-man squad for EURO 2016 which starts next week, scored 10 goals and provided 16 assists in 49 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A champions this season.

Pogba, who is also attracting interest from La Liga giants FC Barcelona, left Old Trafford back in the summer of 2012 under former boss Sir Alex Ferguson after rejecting a new contract with the Red Devils.

The report suggests that United’s new manager Jose Mourinho has sanctioned the big money move for the France star, with Pogba seen as a major part of his restructuring process at the club.
