Manchester United are reportedly ready to sell Italy international defender Matteo Darmian, according to The Sun.

The Premier League side, who comfortably defeated League Two side Yeovil Town 4-0 at Huish Park in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Friday night, have been linked with offloading the full-back to Juventus this summer.

The 28-year-old, who has 36 international caps for the Azzurri, has made 12 appearances in all competitions for Jose Mourinho’s side so far this season.

Darmian, who arrived at Old Trafford back in July 2015 following his reported £12.7m switch from Torino, has scored one goal in 80 games overall for the Red Devils, winning the UEFA Europa League, the FA Cup and the EFL Cup.

However, having started just two Premier League fixtures this term under boss Mourinho, Serie A giants Juventus have identified the out of favour United defender as their ideal full-back signing ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

Juve have already offered a 12-month loan deal for the Italian this summer, with the obligation to buy for £19.25m a year later, but United are not interested in any loan agreement, and want to agree a permanent £26.5m transfer.

Italian rivals AS Roma, Napoli and Inter Milan are also thought to be interested in Darmian’s services.
