Manchester United Predicted XI: We predict Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s selection as they face a tough encounter against Sevilla for a place in the Europa League final.

United face off against Sevilla at 8pm UK time this evening in what should be an entertaining  game played in the RheinEnergieStadion inCologne, Germany.

Manager Solskjaer will be well-aware of the monumental effort his players had to put in six days ago in order to overcome Copenhagen after extra time.

Hopefully, his squad will be fully recovered from the quarter final and the Norwegian will be able to name his strongest line-up tonight.

Their La Liga opponents will be no pushovers this evening though, and are often considered the Europa League’s strongest team having won the competition an impressive three times in a row from 2014 through to 2016.

So which United players will be tasked with the challenge of beating Sevilla? Here we predict Solskjaer’s XI…

Goalkeeper: Cup keeper Sergio Romero is almost certain to return to the side, having played every game in the Europa League. It will also give Solskjaer the chance to take under fire David de Gea out of the limelight, with the Spaniard enduring a difficult period of late.

Defenders: Solskjaer will be looking to name his strongest team tonight. Brandon Williams performed well the other night and will keep his place. We expect Aaron Wan-Bissaka to start on the other side at right back, but it’s at centre back where its difficult to know where Solskjaer will go. Last game he went for the surprise pick of Eric Bailly to partner Harry Maguire and we expect him to do the same again tonight.

Midfielders: The superstar pairing of Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes will be the first names on the team sheet tonight. Both players played well in the quarter finals with Fernandes bagging the winning goal. There will be a lot of pressure on both players to pull the strings in midfield and create chances going forward. We expect Namanja Matic to come back into the side in the holding role, replacing Fred, with his take to limit any attacks from the Danish outfit.

Forwards: Solskjaer has a decision on his tonight, as Juan Mata played well against LASK and was the difference when he came on against Copenhagen.. However, we think the pacy trio of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood will be tasked to create and score the goals tonight. If they can’t break

Predicted XI: Romero; Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Williams; Matic, Pogba, Fernades; Rashford, Martial, Greenwood
