Solskjaer wants to keep his man.

Manchester United Predicted XI: We predict Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s selection as they face Copenhagen in the Europa League quarter finals.

United face off against Copenhagen this evening in Koln in Germany in a winner-takes-all match for a place in the semi finals of the competition.

After Solskjaer was able to rest many players in the second leg of the already won tie against LASK last week, United will be expected to return to full strength tonight.

With all other competitions now done and dusted, the Red Devils can fully concentrate on bringing silverware back to Old Trafford this season.

So which United players will be tasked with the challenge of beating Copenhagen? Here we predict Solskjaer’s XI…

Goalkeeper: Cup keeper Sergio Romero is almost certain to return to the side, having played every game in the Europa League. It will also give Solskjaer the chance to take under fire David de Gea out of the limelight, with the Spaniard enduring a difficult period of late.

Defenders: Solskjaer will be looking to name his strongest team tonight. Luke Shaw has now fully recovered from injury and Solskjaer may take a risk by throwing him into the action this evening. We expect Aaron Wan-Bissaka to start on the other side at right back, with the solid partnership of club captain Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof in the middle.

Midfielders: The superstar pairing of Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes will come straight back into the side tonight after being rested against LASK. There will be a lot of pressure on both players to pull the strings in midfield and create chances going forward. We expect Namanja Matic to come back into the side in the holding role, with his take to limit any attacks from the Danish outfit.

Forwards: Solskjaer has a decision on his tonight, as some of his fringe players performed well against LASK, most notably Juan Mata who provided two assists. However, we think the pacy trio of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood will be tasked to create and score the goals tonight.

Predicted XI: Romero; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; Matic, Pogba, Fernades; Rashford, Martial, Greenwood
