Solskjaer wants to keep his man.

Manchester United Predicted XI: We predict Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s selection as they travel to Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

United face off against Palace this evening, knowing they have to keep up the pressure on Champions League qualification rivals Leicester City and Chelsea.

Manager Solskjaer will be so disappointed with his team’s last result as the Red Devils conceded a last-minute goal in a 2-2 draw at home to Southampton which prevented them jumping to 3rd in the table.

Chelsea beat Norwich on Tuesday and Leicester face Sheffield United at 6pm tonight so the pressure is on the Premier League’s most successful club to keep pace and even capitalise on potential dropped points from the Foxes.

So which United players will be tasked with the challenge of getting back to winning ways. Here we predict Solskjaer’s XI…

Goalkeeper: Despite a difficult start to football after lockdown, David De Gea’s form has improved and he will start again tonight. There was nothing he could do about either of Southampton’s goals on Monday night.

Defenders: Solskjaer has been very consistent with his back four since football returned, but Luke Shaw went off injured meaning we will see Brandon Williams get a start tonight. Williams will start alongside the trusted trio of Victor Lindelof alongside Harry Maguire and the imperious Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Midfielders: United’s midfield looks a different beast with January signing Bruno Fernandes unlocking defences and the return of Paul Pogba from injury. Those two will start, but despite Nemanja Matic’s brilliant performances we believe he will be rested in place for Scott McTominay.

Forwards: The front three of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood are in fine form for United and with such a big game ahead, we expect the trio to keep their place in the side. However, Solskjaer has plenty of options off the bench if his front men aren’t firing.

Predicted XI: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Williams; McTominay, Pogba, Fernandes; Rahford, Greenwood, Martial.
