Manchester United have reportedly sealed the record breaking transfer of France international star Paul Pogba, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League side, who visit AFC Bournemouth in their opening 2016/17 English top-flight opener on August 14, have been continually linked with re-signing the central midfielder from Juventus throughout the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old, who has 38 international caps for his country and helped France reach the EURO 2016 final earlier this month before losing out to Portugal, scored 10 goals and provided 16 assists in 49 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A champions last season.

Pogba; who left Old Trafford back in 2012 after rejecting a new deal, is set to put pen to paper on a five-year contract at Old Trafford worth a whopping £290,000-a-week, according to the report.

The French ace will become the world’s most expensive footballer of all-time, with the deal set to conclude at £100m, surpassing Wales’ Gareth Bale’s fee of £86m from Tottenham to Real Madrid.

The report suggests that Pogba, who becomes United boss Jose Mourinho’s fourth signing at the Premier League giants, will be handed the number six shirt.
